Job summary

Texas Juvenile Justice Department seeks an experienced manager to lead the Regulation Safety Unit within a state-operated high-security juvenile correctional facility. Responsibilities

• Reviews Regulation Safety Unit admission and local extension decisions; counsels assigned youth to ensure their well-being and release when appropriate.
• Provides oversight, leadership, training and technical assistance to case managers and youth development coaches.
• Monitors performance of duties; provides feedback, coaching, mentoring and uses tools for监督 staff; initiates corrective actions as necessary.
• Coaches staff on strategies to achieve goals and objectives; coordinates policy and procedural changes with training specialists.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams; represents the unit in meetings and liaises with program supervisors and facility administrators.
