This position is essential in ensuring safe and efficient transportation for students and other passengers. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing excellent service and maintaining a positive environment while adhering to all safety regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• - Operate a school bus or transit vehicle safely and efficiently, following established routes and schedules.
• - Transport students and passengers to and from designated locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• - Maintain a clean and organized bus, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers.
• - Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
• - Communicate effectively with dispatch and school personnel regarding route changes, delays, or any issues that arise during transit.
• - Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation safety and vehicle operation.
• - Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as necessary, following established emergency procedures.
• - Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• - Valid Michigan driver's license.
• - Valid Commercial Drivers License Class B (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a bus is a plus.
