Bendle Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver to safely transport students and staff on assigned routes, including field trips and activities. You will perform daily bus inspections, ensure cleanliness, and uphold all traffic and transportation regulations.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an exemplary driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test. CDL acquisition and state testing are required for eligibility.
$19.64 /hour drive time rate

Responsible for safely transporting students and necessary support staff over specified routes according to time schedule(s). Includes emergency evacuations, field trips, extracurricular activities, and community-based programs. Must comply with all traffic and specific bus transportation regulations.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to work in a friendly manner with co-workers and students. Ability to read and understand maps. Ability to pass State Skill Test, State Written Test, Department of Transportation physical and MDE Basic Training Program. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
