Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, VA is seeking a full-time Registration Supervisor to oversee the Registration Department. The incumbent will supervise Registrars on day and evening shifts and ensure adequate coverage.

Responsibilities include coordinating information for Ambulance/Trauma patients, supervising operations across Inpatient, Outpatient and ER Registration, monitoring productivity and output quality, and communicating with ER and nursing managers to coordinate efforts.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in patient accounts, registration or business management required.
• Completion of business courses and an interest in continuing education on management and related courses desirable.
• Must possess excellent public relation skills.
• Computer experience required.
• Typing skills of 55 wpm required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Registrars on day and evening shift, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Coordinate the collection of information for Ambulance/Trauma patients.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Registration Department (Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Room Registration).
• Monitor employee production and quality of output of the Registration process.
• Communicate with the Emergency Room manager, nursing floor managers, and Nursing Supervisor to coordinate Registration Department efforts.
