Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Registration Supervisor to oversee the Registration Department. The incumbent will supervise Registrars on day and evening shifts and ensure adequate coverage for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room registrations.

Applicants should have at least two years of experience in patient accounts or registration, with strong public relations skills and computer proficiency. Typing speed of 55 wpm is required; supervisory experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Registrars on day and evening shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
• Coordinate information collection for Ambulance/Trauma patients.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Registration Department (Inpatient, Outpatient and ER).
• Monitor employee production and quality of output in the Registration process.
• Communicate with ER manager, nursing floor managers and Nursing Supervisor to coordinate Department efforts.

The incumbent is responsible for supervising the Registrars on day and evening shift, assuring that adequate coverage is maintained. Coordinates the collection of information for Ambulance/Trauma patients. Supervises the day to day operations of the Registration Department (Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Room Registration.) Monitors employee production and quality of output of the Registration process. Communicates with the Emergency Room manager in charge, nursing floor managers in charge and Nursing Supervisor in charge to coordinate the efforts of the Registration department.

The incumbent will be working swing shifts.

• Twoyears experience in patient accounts, registration or business management required.
• Completion of business courses and an interest in continuing education on management and related courses desirable.
• Must possess excellent public relation skills.
• Previous supervisory experience desirable.
