CoxHealth is seeking a Registration Specialist I to facilitate on-site patient registration for scheduled and unscheduled visits at Ferrell Duncan Clinic in Springfield, MO. You will collect demographics, insurance data, and handle financial obligations with a professional bedside manner.

The ideal candidate has excellent customer service and communication skills, can work independently or in a team, and is proficient with computers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information and handle patient financial obligations at service time.
• Complete registration and provide financial clearance functions, greeting patients and staff professionally.
• Travel between sites and extended hours may be required based on department needs.

Job Description

The Registration Specialist is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for scheduled and unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and handling patient financial obligation at the time of service. The Registration Specialist I greets and serves patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters. Some travel from site to site, as well as extended hours may be required of a Registration Specialist I based on business needs of the department.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Preferred: 1-2 Years Related Experience
