What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional customer service.
- Schedule appointments, answer incoming calls, and manage patient communications via phone, email, and fax.
- Register patients and maintain accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information.
- Verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and collect copays and other patient payments.
- Coordinate with providers, clinical staff, financial counselors, and billing teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Support daily clinic operations through administrative tasks, record management, and office coordination.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow established scheduling, registration, and documentation procedures.
- Resolve patient questions or concerns and escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely service.
- Assist with maintaining office supplies, equipment, and an organized front office environment.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service, patient registration, scheduling, healthcare administration, or a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, patient registration, or healthcare billing processes.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and teammates.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
Compensation
Compensation Range: $16.92 – $25.38 per hour. Compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
