Job summary

University Place Pediatric Clinic, affiliated with Seattle Children's, is hiring a Registration Coordinator (0.9 FTE). Typical shifts run Monday through Friday with evenings and rotating weekends.

The role focuses on patient registrations, check-ins, and scheduling while maintaining a positive, efficient patient experience. Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year in customer service or administrative support; a BA is preferred and three years in health care is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service and/or administrative support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a health care setting or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with diverse populations; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create new registrations and check patients in for scheduled and walk‑in visits.
• Schedule patient return visit appointments.
• Minimize clinic access delays and communicate with patients/families.
• Inform of and collect signed consent for care.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and improve patient experience processes.

We are currently hiring for a 0.9 FTE Registration Coordinator.

Monday thru Friday 11 AM-8:00 PM or 12 PM- 9 PM.

• Rotating weekends 8:30 AM- 5:30 PM
• Open most major holidays from 9AM - 5:00 PM (except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)

The role of the Registration Coordinator is an essential part of the patient facing registration experience by providing support and ensuring each patient encounter is positive, professional, and efficient. The primary function of this role is to create new registrations and check patients in for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits. Registration Coordinator duties also include: scheduling patient return visit appointments, minimizing clinic access delays, effectively communicating with patients/families, informing of and collecting signed consent for care, maintaining standards for infection prevention, and establishing systems and resources to improve processes and efficiency of the patient experience.

Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field.
• Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment.
• Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills.

Compensation Range
