BayCare is seeking a Registrar at Bartow Regional Medical Center to greet and register patients, enter demographics and insurance details, and confirm financial obligations. You will verify coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and communicate policies clearly while maintaining patient confidentiality.
This full-time on-site role requires a high school diploma and at least one year in customer service, with strong interpersonal and computer skills.

Schedule: Wednesday 9:00am - 7:30pm, Thursday-Saturday 6:00am – 4:30pm

Responsible for greeting and registering/admitting patients. Inputs patient demographics and insurance coverage into systems. Documents communications, actions and other data in systems. Gathers pertinent information in regards to patient insurance coverage to confirm the patient's financial obligations for services. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains required authorizations when necessary. Reviews forms/paperwork and obtains necessary consents and signatures from patient and/or family. Explains policies and procedures and answers routine questions. Works with others for patient intake/bed assignment. Follows all established policies and procedures to ensure patient confidentiality, data security and compliance with regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
