Job summary

Valor Education is seeking a Registrar to manage student records, attendance data, and related reporting with accuracy and accountability. The role supports the COO, handles enrollment processes, and collaborates with the Office Coordinator on communications and scheduling.

The Registrar will maintain transcripts, prepare reports for leadership and families, and ensure PEIMS data accuracy while responding to parent inquiries in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Experience with a Student Information System preferred; Ascender experience a strong benefit.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to carry out tasks efficiently and reliably.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong time management and personal organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn new software systems (e.g., enrollment system, SIS).
  • Spanish speaking/writing proficiency preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate daily student attendance data in the SIS (Ascender/TxEIS).
  • Manage student records requests via TREx.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and 6-week attendance reports for tracking and state reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy of student data for PEIMS reports.
  • Assist COO with PEIMS data submissions (TSDS).
  • Maintain student transcripts and grade reports.
  • Prepare academic reports for leadership and families.
  • Answer parent calls and emails with professionalism.
  • Assist with new student enrollment process.
  • Create school calendars and schedules with the Office Coordinator.
  • Support Valor leadership as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Registrar

Position Overview

TheRegistrar is responsible for maintaining a wide variety of student and school records with accuracy and a high degree of accountability. Under the guidance of the Assistant Headmaster of Operations, theRegistrar carries out the following duties:

  • Maintains accurate daily student attendance data in the school's Student Information System (Ascender/TxEIS)
  • Manages student records requests through the Texas Records Exchange (TREx)
  • Prepares daily, weekly, and 6-week attendance reports for internal tracking and state reporting
  • Ensures the accuracy of all student data for PEIMS reports
  • Assists theChief Operating Officer in preparing PEIMS data submissions through TSDS
  • Maintains student transcripts, grade reports, and other academic records
  • Prepares academic reports for school leadership and families
  • Works closely with the Office Coordinator to answer parent phone calls and respond to emails
  • Assists the Office Coordinator in the new student enrollment process
  • Createsschool calendars, student/teacher schedules, and other schedules in collaboration with theOffice Coordinator
  • Assists Valor school leadership as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
