Job summary

North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital in Cornelius, NC is seeking an experienced RVT, CVT, or LVT to join a collaborative, multi-doctor team. This role focuses on nursing care, anesthesia oversight, and supporting surgeons and hospitalized patients.

You will mentor veterinary assistants, contribute to client education, maintain records, and uphold Fear Free handling. We offer a 4-5 day work week, weekday off, CE opportunities, relocation bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Candidate should hold RVT/CVT/LVT credentials or be eligible.
  • 2-4+ years of veterinary hospital experience required.
  • Strong clinical and patient-care skills essential.

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our collaborative, multi-doctor veterinary team in Cornelius, NC.

We are open to RVT, CVT, and LVT candidates, depending on state credentials and experience. We are looking for a technician with 2-4+ years of veterinary hospital experience who is passionate about patient care and interested in continuing to develop their clinical and leadership skills.

Located beside Lake Norman, our hospital is approximately 20 minutes from uptown Charlotte and offers easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Carolina coast.

What you'll do

  • Provide high-quality nursing care and treatment for veterinary patients
  • Work alongside veterinarians to support appointments, procedures, surgery, and hospitalized patients
  • Monitor anesthesia and surgical patients
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
  • Educate clients on medications, treatments, follow-up care, and general wellness
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pets' care
  • Support veterinary assistants through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on training
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
  • Follow Fear Free handling and patient care techniques
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service team members
