Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is recruiting a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for our Baton Rouge Animal Health Clinic, LA. You’ll work to the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana RVT license required.
• Ability to work at the top of license and lead clinical team.
• Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, and diagnostics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia & analgesia with full IV catheterization and multimodal pain management.
• Dentistry including full-mouth dental radiography and periodontal therapy.
• Diagnostics with in-house lab analysis and radiography.
• Nursing & triage with critical patient monitoring and wound care.
• Workflow leadership: lead tech appointments and mentor assistants.

Our state-of-the-art facility features three dedicated DVMs and an experienced support team committed to the highest standards of care. We are dedicated to staying current with the latest advancements in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and preventative wellness. We provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, as well as an in-house laboratory and ultrasonography.

Your Role - Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), you will be encouraged to work to the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
