Job summary

Healing Hands Veterinary Hospital in Burgaw, NC is seeking a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician to join a busy, compassionate team dedicated to keeping pets healthy.

The successful candidate will work Saturdays on an alternating schedule, lift up to 40 lbs, and handle a variety of tasks from assisting doctors to answering phones, cleaning kennels, exercising pets, and administering medications.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RVT.
• Willingness to work Saturdays 8am-12pm alternating.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to stand, sit and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty while learning about animal care and medicine.
• Love of animals with no hesitance around unpredictable dogs, cats, large animals and exotics.
• Must be willing and able to jump in wherever needed covering a wide range of duties including (but not limited to) assisting the doctors with patients, answering phones, cleaning kennels, exercising pets and administering medications.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with patient care and examinations.
• Answer phones and manage front-desk duties as needed.
• Clean kennels and exercise pets.
• Administer medications as directed by veterinarians.
• Cover a wide range of duties as needed to support the clinic.
