Paws & Claws Animal Hospital in Wilmington, NC seeks a registered veterinary technician to join our full-service practice serving cats, dogs, exotics and local wildlife. You will help with triage, lab work, imaging and client communication to ensure top-quality care.
The role involves anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance and maintaining smooth hospital flow; weekend availability is preferred. We offer ongoing training, competitive compensation and a supportive team environment.

The veterinarians at Paws & Claws Animal Hospital, Dr. Sam Smith, Dr. Stephen Anderson, Dr. Kelsey Weingartner, and Dr. Katie Alewel all have a combined total of more than four decades of veterinary medical experience, and they have all the knowledge and expertise necessary to give your precious pets the quality medical care they need and deserve! Job duties include, but are not limited to:Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
