Job description

Ultrasound Sonographer Position

As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities (and other studies as needed), balancing patient needs and maintaining an efficient workflow in the office. You will also ensure that patients have an excellent service experience.

This is a full-time position (Monday - Thursday) at our Mooresville clinic.

Responsibilities

1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps, aiding in recommending safe and effective treatment plans.
2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, addressing their specific needs.
3. Set up and clean procedure, exam, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
4. Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required by the physician's treatment plan to ensure safety and effectiveness.
5. Adhere to standard time allocations for each ultrasound exam to maintain patient flow and clinic efficiency.
6. Collaborate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring availability of technicians and maintaining high-quality patient care.
7. Maintain and develop skills to comply with care standards through continued education and interaction with other technologists.
8. Manage equipment and supply inventory to ensure smooth operations.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program required.
• Registered Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phelbology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS) required.
• Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
