Job description

Ultrasound Sonographer Position

As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities (and other studies as needed), balancing patient needs and maintaining an efficient workflow in the office. You will also ensure that patients receive excellent service.

This is a full-time position (Monday - Thursday) at our Mooresville clinic.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps, aiding in recommending safe and effective treatment plans.
  2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, ensuring understanding of how the plan addresses their specific needs.
  3. Set up and clean procedure rooms, exam rooms, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
  4. Conduct additional ultrasound examinations as required by the physician's treatment plan to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  5. Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow.
  6. Collaborate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review the ultrasound schedule, ensuring availability of technicians and maintaining a productive patient load.
  7. Maintain and develop skills through continued education and interaction with other ultrasound technologists to meet care standards.
  8. Manage equipment and supply inventory to ensure operational effectiveness.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS) required
  • Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills
  • Ability to work well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team
