Ultrasound Sonographer
As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities (and other studies as needed), balancing patient needs with maintaining an efficient workflow in the office. You will also ensure that patients receive an excellent service experience.
This position is full-time (Monday - Thursday) at our Mooresville clinic.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps for treatment planning.
- Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, addressing their specific needs.
- Set up and clean procedure, exam, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
- Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required by the physician's treatment plan to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Coordinate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review the ultrasound schedule, ensuring availability of technicians, and maintaining an efficient patient load.
- Maintain and develop skills through continued education and interaction with other ultrasound technologists to comply with care standards.
- Manage equipment and supply inventory to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program required
- Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS) required
- Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work as part of a team
