Qualifications

  • 1 year related experience in a Vascular Laboratory required.
  • Knowledge of cardiac patient care and treatment of diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic carotid arterial and venous studies.
  • Prepare and maintain operation logs and calibrate equipment.
  • Communicate with physicians about changes in patient conditions.

**Work location:** Texas Health Vascular Surgery Fort Worth, 1325 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth TX 76104

**Work hours:** Full Time Days (Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

**Here’s What You Need:**

  • Associates Degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred)
  • 1 Year related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required)
  • RV T - Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire (required) or
  • RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer upon hire (required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, cardiac patient care, and treatment of cardiac diseases
  • Knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism

**What You Will Do:**

  • Perform diagnostic carotid arterial and venous studies of upper and lower extremities, and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease following ICAVL guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain operation logs, calibrate and maintain equipment, and order supplies as needed.
  • Explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety. Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers about changes in patient’s clinical conditions during vascular procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Conduct vascular laboratory studies according to protocols, ensuring proper scheduling and maintaining quality assurance data.
  • Review test results with interpreting physicians.
