Qualifications

• Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or have the equivalent experience accepted by ARDMS
• Must be registered as a diagnostic sonographer by ARDMS and maintain active registry status
• ARDMS renewal must be completed within 30 days prior to expiration
• CPR certification is required

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures to assist diagnosis and treatment
• Educate patients about the procedure and address questions
• Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures
• Train/educate/evaluate new or student sonographers
