Job summary

ProMedica Central Physicians in Toledo seeks a Sonographer for Maternal-Fetal Medicine to perform specialized fetal ultrasounds and assist physicians during procedures. You will prepare patients and obtain high-quality images for review.

The role includes occasional teaching and per diem work on daytime shifts within the Toledo Hospital Maternal-Fetal Medicine program.

Qualifications

• Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent experience.
• Current RDMS registration or equivalent training required/registry eligible.
• Registry must be completed within 6 months of hire if eligible.

Job Summary: As the Sonographer, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, you will perform specialized ultrasounds to assess fetal well-being in pregnant women. You will assist the Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians in performing ultrasound-guided procedures and inform medical staff in the event of abnormal findings/results. You will prepare women for exams, including patient positioning to obtain the best possible images. You will participate in the clinical instruction of students as needed. REQUIREMENTS

• Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or have had the equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
• Must have current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) granted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent training that is accepted by the ARMDS or must be registry eligible.
• Registry eligible sonographers must successfully complete all requirements within 6 months of hire date. If this is not completed, the employee will be terminated.
