Responsibilities

• Operate ICU equipment including ventilators and cardiac monitors
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
• Document care in the EHR accurately
• Educate patients and families on conditions and discharge plans
• Respond to rapid deterioration and emergencies

MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU team on the night shift in Fort Worth, TX.13-week contract. Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during night shift hours
• Continuously monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and hemodynamic status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
• Operate and manage advanced ICU equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Educate patients and families on conditions, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Respond swiftly and effectively to rapid deterioration, codes, and emergency situations

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 1-2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with critical care equipment, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work night shift hours and adapt in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
