Job summary

MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our Conroe, TX per diem team. You will deliver direct critical care in the ICU, monitor patients, administer meds, and operate advanced equipment.

The role requires TX RN license, 1–2 years ICU experience, BLS and ACLS, strong assessment and teamwork, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TX or compact eligibility.
• ICU/critical care experience required (1–2 years).
• Current BLS and ACLS; CCRN preferred.
• Ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drips.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced ICU environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic parameters continuously.
• Administer meds, IV therapies, and treatments per orders and ICU protocols.
• Operate ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists.
• Document assessments and outcomes in EMR accurately.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in an intensive care unit setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and hemodynamic parameters continuously
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and ICU protocols
• Operate and manage advanced medical equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists
• Document accurate and thorough patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
• Minimum 1-2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Proficiency with ventilator management, hhemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced critical care environment
