Job summary

MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team on a per diem basis. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining precise EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate will hold Texas RN licensure, ADN/BSN, BLS (ACLS preferred), and demonstrate strong critical thinking and communication skills to support patient advocacy and safe discharge

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license
• BLS/CPR; ACLS preferred
• Clinical nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per physician orders
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EMR/EHR systems
• Respond to patient emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program
• Current BLS/CPR certification; ACLS preferred
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
