Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact license eligibility.
• Minimum 2+ years ICU/critical care nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficiency with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ability to adapt to new facility protocols and team environments.
• Strong communication, documentation and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality patient care in an ICU setting.
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, identifying changes in condition and responding promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Operate and interpret data from ICU equipment including ventilators and monitors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians and therapists.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, high-quality patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting


• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, identifying changes in condition and responding promptly


• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and established protocols


• Operate and interpret data from advanced ICU equipment including ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and infusion pumps


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists


• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system


• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)


• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience


• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required


• Proficiency with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips


• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity situations


• Ability to adapt quickly to new facility protocols and team environments


• Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills
