Job summary

FMOL Health in Louisiana is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to participate in diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. The RRT will initiate and manage life support systems under physician guidance, functioning with limited supervision.

You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and departments, perform arterial blood sampling, airway management, and ventilation procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent; NBRC Advanced Practitioner certification required.
• Current Louisiana state license or permit and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians; initiates bronchodilator therapy as needed.
• Operates and monitors ventilator systems and CPAP/BiPAP as ordered.
• Maintains patient records and ensures data confidentiality.
• Responds to Code Blue and MET calls; transports patients as needed.
