Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform a range of therapies and diagnostic tests for adults and neonates. You will be responsible for ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, and oxygen/aerosol therapies under indirect supervision, across flexible hours and days.

The role requires BLS, ACLS, and NBRC registration with Texas licensure, plus at least 6 months’ experience.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NRP within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner and NBRC registration.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Aufgaben

• Performs respiratory therapeutics: oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, incentive spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.
• Performs and reports arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and electrocardiograms.
• Prepares treatment evaluations with bedside assessment, patient interview and chart review.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles and maintains cardiopulmonary equipment including ventilators and blood gas analyzers.
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
• Utilizes customer scripting to improve patient satisfaction.
