Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II at Maine Medical Center. The role provides independent, high quality respiratory care across diverse clinical settings and patient populations, applying clinical knowledge with sound decision making.

You will assess patients, develop and adjust plans, and manage complex needs following established standards. The position offers a night shift on a full-time basis, with a $20,000 sign-on for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Co-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
• Current state license in Respiratory Care required; RRT certification required; must have RRT to advance to Level II.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days; ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications as required by facility, or must obtain within one year of start date.
• Minimum of one year of Respiratory Therapy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, high quality respiratory care across clinical settings.
• Apply clinical knowledge and demonstrate clinical reasoning and decision-making.
• Assess patients and develop/adjust respiratory care plans.
• Manage complex patient needs within established standards and protocols.

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a$20,000.00 sign on bonus for Respiratory Therapists.

Contract & Hours

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6months separation from employment.

Summary

The Respiratory Therapist II role provides independent, high quality respiratory care across a variety of clinical settings and patient populations. Independently applies clinical knowledge in most practice settings and can demonstrate clinical reasoning and decision-making. Able to assess patients, develop and adjust respiratory care plans, and manage complex patient needs within established standards and protocols.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of a Co-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care required. RRT certification required. Must have RRT certification to advance to a Level II. The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.
