Job summary

Memorial Hospital within MaineHealth seeks a Respiratory Therapist II for per diem shifts. The role delivers independent respiratory care across multiple clinical settings and populations, applying clinical knowledge with sound decision-making.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, developing and adjusting care plans, and managing complex needs within established standards and protocols. Requires ARc-approved program completion, state license, and RRT certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Co-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current state license in Respiratory Care required; RRT certification required.
• RRT required to advance to Level II; BLS within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP as required by facility or within one year.

Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist II role provides independent, high quality respiratory care across a variety of clinical settings and patient populations. Independently applies clinical knowledge in most practice settings and can demonstrate clinical reasoning and decision-making. Able to assess patients, develop and adjust respiratory care plans, and manage complex patient needs within established standards and protocols.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of a Co-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care required. RRT certification required. Must have RRT certification to advance to a Level II. Current BLS Certification required within 30 days of start date. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications as required by facility, or must obtain within one year of start date
3. Experience: Minimum of one year of Respiratory Therapy experience required.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
