Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our care team. You will perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders, and you will consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.

You will act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. This entry-level role requires graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, a current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credentials; PALS may be required in the ER.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• RRT credential awarded by NBRC required; PALS for ER.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: push/pull up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, kneel/crouch/crawl as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by the physician.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
