Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Beaches location on a PRN, day shift basis. The ideal candidate will work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment and provide respiratory therapies and patient support.

Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients, operating ventilators, and collaborating with the care team. Florida licensure and an associate degree are preferred; ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are desirable.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate required to practice as a respiratory therapist.
• Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist (DOH) in good standing is required.
• AS degree preferred; advanced life support certifications preferred.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with breathing disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests related to respiration.
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators for patients needing support.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals on treatment plans.
• Provide patient education on breathing techniques, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders
• Administering respiratory therapies
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation
