Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for PRN 12-hour shifts. Under general supervision, you will provide respiratory care to patients, follow policies, and serve as a resource for providers and staff in cardiopulmonary care.

Responsibilities include evaluating ABGs, adjusting therapy, and collaborating with the care team. Requires RRT credentials, MI license, and relevant certifications; 12-hour shifts, PRN schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required; BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications preferred.
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials (RRT) within 1 year of hire.
• Must attend courses through AHA: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP to become certified; BLS within 3 months; ACLS, PALS and NRP within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per provider orders and policies.
• Evaluate ABGs and adjust therapy accordingly.
• Explain therapies to patients and families.
• Maintain artificial airways and monitor patient responses.
• Assist with bedside procedures and codes as required.
