Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, IN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our on-site team. This part-time role (4 hours per week) supports the respiratory care department and contributes to high-quality patient outcomes.

You will lead individualized pulmonary care plans, perform advanced respiratory treatments, and monitor patients to ensure optimal recovery. Collaboration with the emergency resuscitation team is essential to provide timely life-saving interventions.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from Indiana RC Committee.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist NBRC credentialed within 12 months.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (ACLS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years experience OR Associate/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized pulmonary care plans based on diagnoses and determine treatment frequency.
• Perform advanced respiratory care and monitor clinical conditions to ensure high standards of treatment.
• Evaluate effectiveness of respiratory practices and medications, adjusting care plans to meet recovery goals.
• Educate patients and families and connect them with community resources and support programs.
• Provide life-saving interventions as part of the emergency resuscitation team.

Education

BLS Provider certificate (within 30 days of hire)

Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed (Indiana)

NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist

ACLS/Advanced Life Support (preferred)

Neonatal Resuscitation certification (preferred)
