Ascension’s St. Vincent Indianapolis NICU is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support fragile neonates on the night shift. You will develop and monitor specialized respiratory care plans, perform advanced neonatal modalities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This role requires RRT/NBRC credentials with Indiana licensure and a commitment to family education, high-quality care, and rapid response during emergencies in a busy NICU setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) with NBRC registration.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner credential prior to hire.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (ALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored respiratory care plans for neonatal patients.
• Deliver and monitor neonatal respiratory modalities and equipment.
• Evaluate outcomes and optimize treatment protocols in the NICU.
• Educate families and connect them with community resources.
• Provide rapid, life-saving interventions as part of the NICU emergency team.
