Job summary

Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist II (Inpatient) to deliver essential respiratory care based on physician orders for patients from infants to adults. This fast‑paced, hands‑on role supports lifesaving care and patient recovery, working closely with physicians and care teams to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered services on site.

Qualifications include CRT or RRT credentials through NBRC, current state licensure, BLS and ACLS, with PALS required

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT credential through NBRC is required.
• Current state licensure in practicing state is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• PALS certification required if assigned to PICU.

Responsibilities

• Perform key diagnostic procedures and support respiratory assessments.
• Deliver specialized respiratory therapies tailored to patient needs.
• Administer respiratory medications and educate patients on equipment use and technique.
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR when needed.
• Provide percussion and postural drainage therapies to support airway clearance.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Education

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC

Current state licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

PALS certification if PICU
