Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for day and night shifts at Mercy South in St. Louis, MO. The role involves direct patient care in respiratory therapy, rotating NICU assignments, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff on therapy effectiveness.

Qualifications include completion of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER staff; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC. For ER, PALS is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by physicians.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
