Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the OAGH Respiratory department in a full-time, on-site role in Louisiana. You will provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostics and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients under physician orders.

Candidates must hold an associate degree, state license, NBRC CRT credential, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days. NICU experience with NRP is a plus; ACLS training is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

Required - Associate's Degree
Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification for NICU if applicable
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures per policy
Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient
Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and plans
Performs diagnostic procedures
Delivers care appropriate to patient age and safety
Maintains up-to-date professional certifications
Attends staff meetings and participates in quality initiatives
Other related duties as required
