Required credentials include an active state license and NBRC-CRT, with BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 90 days of hire. NICU staff may require NRP. This is an on-site hospital position in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's Degree required.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Credentialed by NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS certification must be current.
• NRP certification required for NICU trained therapists.
• ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications and data entry.
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory care procedures according to policy.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides age-appropriate care for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Maintains professional certifications and up-to-date knowledge.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in quality initiatives.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
