Under general supervision, provide respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
Minimum Education
-Graduate of a post-secondary respiratory education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) X Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
-Basic Life Support (BLS)
-ACLS
-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) preferred
Licenses:
-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the State of Georgia
-Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of Georgia
Minimum Work Experience:
-One (1) year of formal training/intern experience preferred.
