Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Texas (TMB) in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning.
• Administers aerosol and humidity therapy, airway maintenance, and chest physiotherapy.
• Interprets ABG, PFT, and ECG results and reviews patient records.
• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots ventilators and respiratory equipment.
• Supports infection control, safety and quality assurance initiatives.
• Documents care and communicates with medical staff.
