Baptist Health in Saint Augustine is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a Free Standing Emergency Department location. You will assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders, administer therapies, and monitor ventilators in a fast-paced ED setting.

The role requires RRT certification (FL DOH), ACLS, PALS, and NRP as applicable, with continuous patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration central to the position.

Formación

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders.
• Administering respiratory therapies per physician orders.
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests for oxygenation and ventilation.
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients in need.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Providing patient education on breathing techniques and medications.
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments and progress notes.

Responsabilidades

• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Providing patient education and support on breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.
