Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Free Standing Emergency Department in St. Augustine. This PRN Night shift role involves assessing and treating patients with respiratory disorders, administering therapy, performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

The ideal candidate will have the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, along with ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire. Experience in respiratory therapy, particularly in neonatal and pediatrics, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required from FL DOH.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders.
• Administering respiratory therapies.
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals.
• Providing patient education on breathing techniques and medication.
