Competenze

• Associate degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care from an accredited program (required)
• Active license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care (KBRC) (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC (required; new grads have 6 months to obtain)
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS required

Mansioni

• Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy
• Plans and administers oxygen therapy per protocol
• Plans and administers aerosolized medication and gas therapy
• Performs airway management
• Operates mechanical ventilators and manages settings
• Aids in rapid response and CPR when needed
• Educates patients, families, staff, and physicians
