Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its respiratory care team in Shepherdsville, KY. The role requires patient-centered care across age groups, ventilation management, and education to patients and families.

Ideal candidates hold an NBRC RRT credential, KBRC license, and a relevant degree. Experience in critical care is preferred; new graduates are welcome. On-site position with 6P–6A shifts and commitment to safety and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care from an accredited program (required)
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care
• New graduates accepted
• Active Kentucky Respiratory Care license (KBRC) required
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy
• Plans and administers oxygen therapy
• Plans and administers aerosolized medications and specialty gas therapy
• Operates and manages mechanical ventilators per protocols
• Provides patient and family education
• Maintains equipment and adheres to safety standards
