Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a resource for the care team.

Requirements include graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS preferred; PALS may be required in ER settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential per NBRC.
• PALS required for ER co-workers.
• ACLS preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
