Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care under physician orders in a hospital setting. You will consult with physicians on the effectiveness of respiratory therapies and serve as an advanced resource for the care team.

Applicants should have an NBRC-registered RRT credential, a current RCP license, and be prepared to work with ER teams where PALS is required. ACLS is preferred and clinical experience in critical care is a plus.

Qualifications

• RRT credential from NBRC must be held.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license per state requirements.
• PALS certification required for ER coworkers.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience in acute or critical care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults with physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
