Job summary

Mercy is seeking a respiratory therapist to deliver direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, an active RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and PALS in ER settings; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS certification for ER work.
• Able to perform physically demanding duties including pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs and kneeling/crawling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician's orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
