Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostics and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients. You will perform therapies, document clinical information, and educate patients and teammates on treatment plans, with ACLS timing met within 90 days of hire.

Required: Associate degree, RT license in state, NBRC RT, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days. Strong data entry, communication and teamwork skills are essential to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Certification by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory care procedures per policy.
• Review and document clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and arterial blood gas analyses.
• Adapt care to patient population and respect privacy and safety.
