Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy on a 24/7 basis. You will collaborate with physicians to evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed therapies and adjust treatments as needed.

This role positions you as a key resource in respiratory care for the medical team and patients. Qualified candidates will be graduates of a CoARC-approved program, hold an active RCP license, and possess the NBRC RRT credential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC holder.
• PALS is required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on therapy effectiveness and outcomes.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
