Job Overview

Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO is actively seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the team. Come be a part of an environment where you can thrive and make a difference in patient care!

Schedule

• (2)-12 hour shifts per week
• 6:30pm-7am
• Rotating Holidays
• Every 3rd weekend

Locations

Leasburg, Gerald, Union, Cuba, Rosebud, Fletcher, Villa Ridge, Rolla, Steelville, Owensville, Wildwood, Evansville, Festus, Ballwin, Lake Saint Louis, Franklin and Crawford county.

Compensation

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus

Education Eligibility

Students 6 months from graduating from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program are welcome to apply.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities related to respiratory care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within the guidelines of the hospital and department. The role independently applies advanced clinical respiratory expertise and scientific knowledge, serving as a resource to others as part of the patient care team. Ensures patient safety by providing care in an effective, developmentally and age‑appropriate manner while complying with all quality and regulatory requirements and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate by participating in the exchange of information including documentation, handoff, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Provide education and training about respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to patients, families, students, new employees, and members of the healthcare team, utilizing diverse learning styles.
• Hold self‑accountability and seek opportunities for continuous learning and feedback, performing multiple related duties while prioritizing and applying effective time management.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures according to established standards, procedures, guidelines and policies, and apply respiratory knowledge and clinical expertise, including the ability to assess, analyze and troubleshoot as needed.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical care skills to support additional responsibilities such as ECMO support, mechanical ventilator support, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary and circulatory rehabilitation, and Basic Life Support (BLS) as needed.

• Licenses & Certifications: Basic Cardiovascular Life Support; Respiratory Care Practitioner; RRT
