Ascension in Kyle, TX is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Sleep Disorders department for night shift (PRN). You will develop tailored care plans, deliver advanced respiratory care, monitor patients, and respond to emergencies as part of the urgent response team.

The ideal candidate holds a BLS within 30 days, Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners certification, NBRC Registered credential, and a strong commitment to patient education and family engagement.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Deliver advanced respiratory care: Administer complex care modalities, manage specialized equipment and monitor real-time patient conditions to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Optimize clinical effectiveness: Continuously assess medication responses and treatment performance to adjust care plans based on individual patient progress.
• Empower patients and families: Educate patients and caregivers on managing their conditions while connecting them with vital community support programs.
• Lead emergency resuscitation: Respond swiftly to life-threatening resuscitation codes as a key member of the urgent response team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
